Upstate Living Drawing Contest
What’s your favorite part of living in the upstate?
We’re inviting artists of all ages to showcase their creativity by illustrating their favorite part of life in the Upstate! Whether it’s the beautiful landscapes, local landmarks, favorite activities, or community spirit, we want to see what makes this place special to you.
Winning submissions will be displayed in our office, featured on our website and social media, and may even be printed on exclusive contest t-shirts!
Entrant Categories
- Category 1: Ages 3-8
- Category 2: Ages 9-12
- Category 3: Ages 13-17
- Category 4: Ages 18+
Each category will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner.
Submission Guidelines
- Medium: Artists may use crayons, colored pencils, graphite, markers, or paints.
- Size: Entries should be on an 8.5” x 11” sheet (or digital equivalent).
- Theme: Illustrate what you love most about living in the Upstate!
- Originality: All artwork must be original—no tracing or AI-generated submissions.
- By submitting an entry you are giving Upcountry Fiber the right to use your artwork in future projects without compensation or credit.
- Entrants must either live in Pickens county, Spartanburg county, Greenville county, Oconee county, or Anderson county, or be an Upcountry Fiber Customer.
Timeline
- Contest Opens: April 21
- Extended Submission Deadline: June 15
- Winners Announced: July 21st
- Winners’ Reception: August 7, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

- 1st Place (Each Age Group)
- Custom t-shirt featuring your artwork
- $100 gift card (local business or arts store)
- Featured in our office display
- 2nd Place (Each Age Group)
- $50 gift card
- Artwork displayed in our office
- 3rd Place (Each Age Group)
- $25 gift card
- Artwork displayed in our office
