That’s why Upcountry Fiber was proud to sponsor this year’s Propel Business Lab, a 12-week entrepreneurial program hosted by the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce. Designed to empower dreamers, doers, and emerging small-business owners, this program gives local entrepreneurs the tools and confidence to take their vision to the next level.  

Fueling local Dreams with Practical Skills  

Propel Business Lab isn’t just a class – it’s an investment in the people who make Oconee County vibrant. Throughout the program, participants worked to develop a clear business plan and a compelling elevator pitch, learned how to secure financial resources, and built foundational skills in financial management, website and social media presence, and public presentation.  

These are real, hands-on lessons that help transform ideas into sustainable businesses. And when local entrepreneurs have access to that kind of support, the entire community benefits – through job creation, stronger local commerce, and a thriving regional economy.

• Juniper Grove Creative – First Place Winner  

Juniper Grove Creative is a web-design and digital services studio based in Westminster, SC. They focus on giving small and medium-sized businesses the digital tools they need to grow – offering custom website design, content creation, branding support, and marketing services. With a mission of “building small business dreams, one website at a time,” they help entrepreneurs across the country while staying deeply rooted here in Oconee County.  

• The Sassy Sweet Pea – Runner-Up  

The Sassy Sweet Pea is a floral studio in downtown Seneca known for its whimsical, fully customizable approach to flowers. What began as a traveling “build-you-own bouquet” flower truck in 2023 has blossomed into a welcoming brick-and-mortar space. Their studio is filled with personality and designed to bring joy – whether through a custom arrangement, a girls’ day out, or a special celebration.  

Their passion, innovation, and hard work embody the entrepreneurial spirit that drives our community forward.
